Skirting is defined as the process of removing unwanted fiber and debris from raw fleece, as well as preparing it for show, sale or processing. You learn to recognize and remove unwanted coarse and inconsistent fiber, shorts & 2nd cuts. You learn to package the fleece for show, and/or prepare a spin-off sample and/or prepare fleece for processing.
Please bring a fleece or two of your own to evaluate after class.
